The danger of underestimating Iran’s jihadist ambitions.
Joe Rogan, the popular podcaster, recently stated that he can’t see any good reason for America’s attack on Iran. In his estimation the current war effort is an “insane” effort that is destabilizing the globe. I think this is an incredibly naive position that manifests profound geo-political ignorance, especially as it involves the jihadist ambitions of the current Iranian regime. It is their long-stated goal to incite their version of Armageddon to expedite the return of the 12th Imam (the Mahdi) and the establishment of the Shia version of a global caliphate.
Since 1979 the Islamic Republic of Iran has been planning and preparing for their brand of jihadism to dominate the world and enforce Islam on the entire planet. Since 1979 defeating America has been a religious imperative and not merely a geo-political ambition. Since 1979 they have chanted “Death to America” at thousands of rallies. Since 1979 they have waged non-stop war against America and our allies, both asymmetrically and through proxies. To not take this threat seriously is to severely underestimate their anti-America, global-domination platform which is fired by their religious convictions. The current regime is a seething cauldron of religious lunacy. They cannot be reasoned with for peace. They can only be stopped by superior firepower applied without mercy until the last jihadist has either had a coming to Jesus moment or passed to eternal damnation.
Make no mistake. Any détente over the past forty-six years was merely a facade on the part of the evil regime, giving them the time, the opportunity, and the funding to build their war machine so that they can attain their avowed goal—the extinction of Israel and the Great Satan, America.
Make no mistake. When America attacked Iran two weeks ago, it was preemptive. We had a national, moral obligation to put a decisive end to the evil regime’s nuclear ambitions. Nobody else had the wherewithal or the presence of mind or the courage to stop them. Israel could not have done the job alone. If we had refused to answer the call of duty, the Islamic Republic of Iran would have put the finishing touches on their nuclear weapons within a few months (maybe sooner) and used them for the destruction of Israel and the blackmailing of the Gulf states and the West.
Make no mistake. This war was inevitable. It was coming one way or the other. The Iranian jihadists were driven by their belief that they had an obligation to ignite a war with the ungodly West and Israel and wipe them both off the map. They were focused on this coming Armageddon. They lived for this coming Armageddon. They were preparing for this coming Armageddon. They were hastening this coming Armageddon. It couldn’t come fast enough. This left America with only two options. One, we could beat them to the punch and prosecute the war on our terms before they secured nuclear weapons. Or two, we could wait for them to secure nuclear weapons and prosecute the war on their terms. The former choice is unpleasant. The latter leads to either surrender or nuclear exchange.
Make no mistake. Taking the path of Chamberlain rather than Churchill at such a critical geo-political juncture is cultural suicide. As Churchill said,
“You cannot reason with a lion when your head is in its mouth!”
We can’t glorify America’s heroic stand against Nazi Germany in WW2 and then turn around and cast shade at America’s current heroic stand against the evil of the Islamic Republic of Iran. To do so suggests either gross ignorance or mind-boggling hypocrisy. Both of these evil regimes were cut from the same piece of cloth. The warp is venomous hatred for the Jews and biblical Christianity. The woof is a world-wide, Satanically-inspired kingdom that is contrary to the promised kingdom of God that is revealed in the word of God.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not a shill. This is not a mindless endorsement of Trump or his policies across the board. This is not a statement about Trump’s platform as a whole. This is simply appealing to common sense, the facts of history, and the current trajectory of the major power players in the last days. Who do you want calling the shots in the Middle East for the next decade? The lunatic leftists in America? The lunatic leftists in Europe? The lunatic jihadists in Tehran? Or the imperfect right in America? We can’t stay out of this fight without surrendering to the other three. And if we surrender to the other three, we are giving our tacit approval for Tehran and the other jihadists to take over the world.
I hope Joe Rogan rethinks his position on Iran, specifically on the jihadist fanatics who have brutally dominated their own nation and desire to brutally dominate the whole world. We must take the boasts, the mantras, and theology of these thugs at face value. They amount to a declaration of war against America. And if we don’t take the war to them, they will take the war to us.
Are you tired of war in this world and long for peace? So do I. So does everyone with a brain in his cranium. Christ’s kingdom and the absence of war can’t come fast enough. But in the meanwhile, you can’t allow evil empires like Imperialistic Japan, Nazi Germany, and the Islamic Republic of Iran to fulfill their evil ambitions. They must be stopped. This is not a matter of theology. This is a matter of common sense. This is a matter of whether those who claim to love freedom will have freedom tomorrow to engage in theology. There is no freedom if you fall under the yoke of these brutal systems. There is no peace if they attempt to bring you under the yoke.
If America caves in to the pressure to wind this war down before the jihadist fanatics are a footnote in history, rest assured that the Middle East and the West will be brought to the same brink again in the future. Islamic lunacy will ensure that. This is a fight now or fight later situation.
Like it or not, it seems apparent that God has chosen America to be the hammer that he uses to rearrange the Middle East and introduce a time of peace in the Middle East and a cessation of viable existential threats from the Islamic Republic of Iran against America. Trust the Providence of God. Give America the WW2-style support she deserves. This is not merely and only getting involved in someone else’s business—that of Israel and our Arab allies. This is defending ourselves against a jihadist regime which has made existential threats against our existence—threats they would make good given time and opportunity. You can’t reason with lunacy.
