Lord God Almighty, strong and sure,His voice is definite and pure.
In faithfulness and truth He acts
And never any word retracts.
He made a covenant with man
And promised what no mortal can.
He has the wisdom, strength, and will
His spoken contracts to fulfill.
He promised Abraham a seed
And formed a nation great indeed,
A people graced above the rest,
Through whom all other folks are blessed.
His chosen people sorely fail,
And yet God’s purposes prevail.
Though men are liars, God is true,
He gives His word and follows through
