Iran War Fears, Blood Moons, and the Rapture: A Biblical Reality Check on End Times Sensationalism

Sensational Predictions and the Blood Moon Narrative

The sensationalists are out in force again. One I just read claimed that the coming war with Iran will have severe global consequences. Oil will skyrocket to $300 per barrel, the stock markets will crash 80% like in 1929, and this will lead directly into the great tribulation. We are immediately on the brink of the rapture. Worse, the blood moon of 2026 predicts this disastrous scenario.

This is irresponsible sensationalizing that is verging on being a false prophet. If this doesn’t come true, or even 75% true, will you still trust such predictions and those who make them?

Skipping the Biblical Sequence

This version of the end times skips right over the peace and security preparation for Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38-39, the Gog and Magog war itself, and the immediate aftermath of Gog and Magog which leads to the rise of the antichrist. But, the rapture does not immediately precede the tribulation. It precedes Gog and Magog, which marks God’s return to Israel.

More than likely, the events that we are watching unfold, whether they lead to war or a last-minute faux peace, are setting the foundation for the rise of the beast system and Israel’s peace and security that lulls them to sleep prior to Gog and Magog.

War With Iran and Economic Reality

There is no doubt that war with Iran would have global consequences that would affect the markets and the price of oil. But the effects most likely wouldn’t come anywhere near the predicted severity. Several things need to be noted.

• ONE, the American economy since WW2 has thrived on war.

• TWO, if Iranian oil was disrupted, that would be a blessing for Saudi oil and American oil.

• THREE, the domination of the American military would be on display in a manner even more mind-boggling than it was in Venezuela or Iran 1.0.

This war, if it indeed comes to pass, would play in America’s favor in the coming year or two in various geo-political fronts: seeing the world move in the direction of the ten regions, American oil and energy domination, advancing the Abrahamic Accords, strengthening Trump’s Board of Peace, undermining the current Shia problem, and forwarding the runup to Gog and Magog.

Imminence and Failed Rapture Timelines

While I do believe that the rapture is imminent, yet I would advise folks to remember that all of the sensationalizing immediate-rapture theories from 2017 to the present belly-flopped miserably. This one will too.

Prophetic Convergence Versus Catastrophe Theories

EVEN IF THE RAPTURE HAPPENS THIS YEAR, and it could, it would have nothing to do with the blood moons and this theory of a market-crash, great depression, $300-oil, immediate-great-tribulation scenario. It would have everything to do with a much more generic prophetic convergence scenario. The rapture will happen while the world is setting up for the Gog and Magog war, laying the foundation for the beast empire, and enjoying relative normality while the deep state ever tightens its tentacles.

Occupy Until He Comes

While we would all love to go home today, may we all be reconciled to the fact that nothing we see in the world today or in the Bible demands that the rapture happen this year, much less immediately. We could see a few more years of stage-setting before we go home. So focus on the task at hand. Occupy until he come. Keep one eye on the plow and one eye on the coming glory.
