Revelation 3:10 — Tereo Ek “Keep From”

In Revelation 3:10 we read the amazing promise, “Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.”  In this message I focus specifically on the phrase “keep from” which is τηρέω ἐκ (tereo ek) in the Greek. I demonstrate from the use of this phrase in Koine Greek that it means keep from, not keep through or preserve while in.
