‘Peace and safety’ The condition Scripture says will precede sudden destruction.
Many on social media are now opining that in the next few months if the war drags on, the world will be plunged into the famines, digital control, and absolute disaster of the tribulation, and based on this FEAR factor, they think that the rapture has to happen in the immediate future.
I don’t put any stock in this fear-mongering. I think it is far more likely, comparing the long term trends of the world with the prophecies that concern the stage setting for the tribulation, that the West and their allies will wind this war down in the relatively near future, at least far enough to secure the Strait of Hormuz and stabilize the world’s markets. I suspect that a period of peace and prosperity will result as the Abraham Accords, the Persian Accord, the IMEC effort, and the Gaza Peace Plan start rolling. This peace will be the faux peace that lulls Israel to sleep prior to Gog and Magog. It will be the relative normality that lulls the West to sleep. This time of peace will see Israel’s enemies, indulging this faux peace, and rebuilding their militaries with Western money, weapons, and training. Building them up for Gog and Magog. Between now and Gog and Magog, the honeymoon between America and Israel comes to an end, and Israel is left to face the Gog and Magog juggernaut alone. She will have no one to turn to but God.
The rapture of the church happens under the morning star of the day of the Lord (Rev. 2:28, Rev. 22:16, 2 Pet. 1:19). God’s return to Israel also happens under the morning star of the day of the Lord (Hos. 6:3, “His going forth is established as the Shachar/Morning Star.” See also Psalm 46:5 where the Lord comes to Israel’s aid at the break of dawn). This implies that the rapture of the church and God’s return to Israel at the time of Gog and Magog are closely and temporally connected.
Bearing this in mind, don’t be surprised if the church passes through this nerve-wracking war scenario, sees the West forward peace initiatives like the Abraham Accords and the Gaza Peace Plan, sees a time of peace and security in the Middle East and a time of relative normality in the West, and THEN the rapture happens when men are not expecting bad things. Shortly after the rapture the devastation of the Gog and Magog juggernaut occurs, which is God baptizing Israel with fire.
Eyes wide open, brain engaged, heart on fire.
