The Names of God, Part 1
A friend recently gave me a devotional book on the names of God. I would like to write short poems for each of the chapters in the book. The first is
ELOHIM
The Father, Son, and Spirit,
The One made up of three,
Distinct but not divided,
The Holy Trinity.
The God of gods, creator,
Beginning and the end,
The universe designer,
And yet the sinner’s friend.
He walked on earth with Adam,
And gave the man free will.
He knew the fall would happen —
And He is sovereign still.
